Shwmae! A very warm welcome to Year 3!

This Spring term promises to be an exciting journey of growth and learning. In Year 3, we will be working hard to build our independence, strengthen our resilience, and develop the confidence to take on new challenges. We will continue to learn how to work together, solve problems, stay curious, and try our best in everything we do. It’s going to be a busy, fun‑filled term, and we can’t wait to get started!

Here are some of the wonderful things we’ll be exploring this term:

🌨️ Our Class Book – The Snow Spider
We will be diving into the magical world of The Snow Spider, using the story to spark our imagination, inspire our writing, and help us think deeply about characters and adventures.

🎺 Music with the pBuzz
Our music lessons will be full of rhythm and fun as we learn to play the pBuzz. We’ll be exploring pitch, practising new techniques, and making music together as a team.

🏉 Dragons Rugby Sessions
We will be taking part in energetic rugby sessions with the Dragons, developing our coordination, teamwork, and resilience while keeping active and having lots of fun.

🏊 Swimming Lessons
This term we will also be enjoying our weekly swimming lessons. We’ll be building confidence in the water and developing important swimming skills.

🐉 Learning All About Wales
As part of our topic work, we will be discovering what makes Wales so special. From legends and landscapes to language and culture, we’ll be learning all about our wonderful country.

🏛️ Trip to St Fagans
We are very excited for our upcoming visit to St Fagans, where we will explore Welsh history first-hand and bring our learning to life.
