Welcome to Early Years!

A very warm welcome to Early Years at All Saints CPS. We are delighted to begin this exciting journey with your child and look forward to working in partnership with families throughout the year. Our Early Years team includes Nursery Teacher Miss Basini, Reception Teacher Mr Butler, and Teaching Assistants Mrs Baker, Mrs Holl and Miss McCloy, who are committed to creating a happy, nurturing and inspiring environment where every child feels safe, valued and ready to flourish.

This Autumn Term, our learning will be centred around Seizing the Season, encouraging children to notice, explore and celebrate the beauty and wonder of autumn. Through stories, songs, creative activities, outdoor adventures and hands-on experiences, children will discover the changing world around them. From collecting colourful leaves and exploring seasonal treasures to learning about harvests and the natural environment, we will inspire curiosity and a sense of awe in the world we share.

As children settle into school life, we will focus on building friendships, developing confidence and independence, and establishing positive routines that help every child feel secure and successful. Our learning experiences will support communication, language, early literacy and mathematical development while always placing children's interests and wellbeing at the heart of what we do.

Our approach is inspired by Froebelian pedagogy, which celebrates the importance of play, relationships, creativity and learning through real-life experiences. We believe childhood is a precious time, and that children learn best when they are given opportunities to explore, investigate, create and connect with nature. By valuing each child's unique interests and ideas, we nurture a lifelong love of learning and encourage children to become confident, capable and caring members of our school community.
