Shwmae a chroeso i Dudalen Blwyddyn 5!

Welcome to our Year 5 page, where an exciting spring term is ahead of us. We have lots of fantastic learning experiences planned, including visits to castles and exciting transition projects that will help us grow in confidence and independence.

This term, we’ll be diving into ancient Welsh myths, exploring legendary stories and using them as inspiration to write our own powerful myths. Creativity will be everywhere, from art and design to storytelling and performance.

We’ll also be building resilience and practical skills in our new occupational areas, including art, sewing, cooking, STEM and clay. Using state‑of‑the‑art technology, we’ll design, make, test and improve our ideas while learning how to persevere when things are challenging.

In mathematics, we’ll be working on time, fractions, and real‑life maths. This includes budgeting, planning expenses, and sourcing the cheapest ingredients for our cooking projects—putting our maths skills to real and meaningful use.

It’s going to be a busy, creative and inspiring term full of learning, teamwork and fun. We can’t wait to get started!
