Shwmae and welcome to Year Five! 

On this page, you'll find lots of pictures and videos of the many and varied learning experiences we'll have over the next year. We've had a great start to the term and are very excited about the journey that lies ahead in Dosbarth Pump. 

This term, our theme is "Inspire me."  We'll be learning about inspirational people, events, and artwork from all over the world. We'll also focus on what makes us unique and celebrate our individual qualities.

Our RE topic this term is all about Vocation and how Christians are called to share the mission of Jesus.

PE will be on a Thursday afternoon, beginning with swimming in the Ebbw Fawr leisure centre. 

In numeracy, we will be covering place values, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.

Our class book this term is Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In Languages, Literacy, and Communication, we'll be learning how to construct complex sentences, write in many different genres, and focus on extended writing across all areas of the curriculum.
